Porter in the Park

Last week was a whirlwind of fun stuff... primarily, having my photo taken at Spring Lake Park to celebrate my birthday. My favorite Aunt Cristi took the photos, and I have a few to share. Enjoy!

This is Mommy's favorite shot. Personally, I think I looked pretty cute in the sailor suit, but it wasn't my first choice.

Announcement!

Tommorrow is a big day in the life of Porter. 1st: I'm getting my hair cut. Now, personally, I don't like the idea of those sharp pointy things coming near my face, much less my ears and eyes, but as long as Daddy is there with me, I think it will be okay. Plus, Mom says that I look scraggly, and honestly I don't know that word yet, but when she says it she wrinkles her nose like she does when changing a dirty diaper, so I know that it can't be a good thing.

So, with that being said... tomorrow I will go from looking like this:

HaHa... just kidding. I think Mom is going to let me keep my long hair and probably just trim around the ears and get it out of my eyes. I kinda like the shaggy look!

So, also on the agenda for tomorrow is a photo shoot for my first birthday. Mom says it will be a lot of fun, but I'm not really sure. I do get to see my favorite friends, Cristi and Harper, so that will be exciting! Cristi is REALLY amazing with a camera... and somehow Mom talked her into taking my picture. I'll be sure to share them with you when we're finished.

Speaking of first birthday, I'm getting really excited about it all. I know it may not seem that way, but the more I think about all my friends coming over to celebrate my birthday, the more excited I get. Can't wait to see everyone!

Do I look fat? Daddy said something about Chris Farley... whatever, Dad. But seriously, do you see those things?! Aren't they cool? Apparently, I get to do all sorts of cool things once the rest of them start popping up.... like eat real food!

TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS!

I am a growing little boy. In fact, I am now a little boy with teeth. That's right... I have three teeth coming in, all at once. I don't have a photo, because I'm not too keen on being still for pictures these days... but I assure you, it is a sight to behold.

However, as most of you know, it's football season! and I DO have photos of me supporting my favorite football teams. Obviously, my first love is the UCA Bears, who won 37-7 against Eastern Illinois University yesterday.

Go BEARS!!!

Next, the Arkansas Razorbacks played, and they also won against University of Louisiana-Monroe. I didn't get to watch the game, because it wasn't on tv in our area, but here's me pretending to watch:

Needless to say, it was a great day for Arkansas football. I know most people my age aren't into it, but I am really a football fan... most especially, college football.

Other big news: I met the most beautiful girl on Friday. Her name is Addysonn Ruth Lovely, and we met up at St. Michaels where she was born this week. She was only a day old, so I've gotta wait until she's a little older to take her out. But she is simply breath-taking!

Well, I will post again soon. In the mean time, looking forward to my birthday party. Mom says we are taking birthday photos this week, but I'm not sure what that means. Guess I'll let you know soon!
