I apologize. It's just that, you know, I have so much energy now. I've figured out how to walk, and how to climb, and the world is so interesting! I barely find time to eat or sit still, much less time to blog. I am sorry, dear reader.
Much has happened since we spoke last. Namely, I've conquered this thing called walking. In fact, I even know how to run these days. For real, it's the coolest thing ever and I'm so so so big when I walk around the house. I really like it when Mom and Dad let me roam around on my own. For some reason, they're always following me everywhere, but if I really wanted to get away from them, I could do it. I'm pretty sneaky, after all. The thing is, that I kind of like having them nearby. As much as I would like to be on my own, sometimes I need them! I fall down frequently. I hit my head a lot, and trip over things. So, when I crumble, it's really important to find one of them standing close to me so I can grab onto their legs, bury my face into their clothes, and wail. Then, if I'm cute enough, they pick me up, hold me tight, hug me close and make everything better. Gosh, I love Mom and Dad.
Last week, my Mom had a birthday. Now, apparently she's had more of these things than I have, because she didn't get nearly as excited as I do about all the birthday cake. But, for a Mom I think she did okay opening her gifts and having fun with all the party guests. I had more important things to do at the party than to worry with my Mom and how she needs to work on her party skills:
I'm really glad I had a moment to take this really important phone call. It was my agent. More deets to come when we firm up a deal.
I did take another moment to pose for a quick photo op with the rents. They are two goofy people, let me tell ya...
Obviously, I had been partying a little too hard at this point. Just needed to rest my eyes for a moment.
So, what do you think? What's a little boy to do now that his parents are getting older and more boring? I'm thinking I'll make a rap video soon. After all, I'm really in to music these days, and I've got to do something for entertainment around here.
Comment with your song selections for my upcoming album. Peace out, yo.

sorry!
(Porter is not doing well keeping up his blog. He only posts once a month now, and I told him, like any blogger knows, it must be more regular than that. He doesn't listen well these days. )
Okay, enough of Mommy's perspective... let me tell the low down. I haven't had much time to blog lately. I've been much too busy learning new things to write them all out in cyberspace. I've been trying to conquer walking. It's pretty risky though, and to be honest, I'm afraid of falling on our hard floors and hurting myself. So, timidly, I continue to get braver and braver about the whole walking situation. I'll let you know when I master it. In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of my mad skills:

In other news, I'm learning lots of new words. My favorite at the moment is "uh-oh" but DaDa, MaMa, and Bye continue to be strong choices as well. Now, if I could just master the one word that Mom and Dad keep saying "awkward" I'd be satisfied.
My favorite television show these days is "The Sing-Off". Anyone who knows me is aware that I love music, especially lively, upbeat tunes. So the show is perfect for me. Mom, Dad and I are rooting for Street Corner Symphony or Committed to win. Mostly, Committed. I also like how short the season is, with the mini-series. Perfect for guys like me who have short attention spans.
So, I'm told that Christmas is coming up. Not sure what it means really, but I do know that Mom made me go visit a funny looking man in a suit with a big white beard yesterday. He was pretty scary, but Mom seemed really happy when I smiled for the camera while I was in his lap. Don't know what the big deal is, but I like to see her smile. Maybe this old guy has something up his sleeve. Here's a photo of us:
Stay tuned for a Christmas update, as soon as I figure out what Christmas is...

I'm back and ready to go!
Last week was rough. Usually, I don't let a few coughs and sniffles get me down, but last week I just didn't feel well. Mom and Dad finally took me to the doctor on Tuesday, and he said I had the MEASLES!!!
I'm not sure what this means really, but I heard a lot about this measles word last week. The way everyone was talking, you would have thought I lost my blanket or something... you know, the soft green and blue blanket that I take everywhere. Yea, that thing is pretty special. It makes me feel cozy and nice and I always feel safe when I have my blanket around. SPeaking of that blanket, I should really get to looking for it.....
Anyway, the measles. Apparently, after my one year check up (which went very well I might add) Mom and Dad decided they didn't like me very much. So, they let a mean old nurse (who is usually very sweet) stick me with a bunch of needles. It hurt very bad!!! I'm told that those needles were supposed to keep me from getting sick. Little did they know, that they were actually going to make me sick! Whatever was in those prickly things gave me the measles! I hate shots!!
The measles made me very sleepy and I didn't want to do anything. I didn't feel like eating, or crawling around. I didn't even want to play with my new toys that I got for my birthday that Mom and Dad haven't let me open yet. All I wanted to do when I had the measles was lay around with Mom and cuddle up in my blanket.
So, after the Doctor said I had the measles, Mom took off work for three whole days and we played, and cuddled, and slept a lot. Having the measles was the best thing EVER!
I know there are a lot of other things I need to catch you up on in my life, but I thought measles were by far the most interesting. To end, I will leave with a quote about the measles. I 'm not sure what it means, but when I googles "quotes about measles" this came up. I just love google:
Golf, like measles, should be caught young.

Mommy is selling my things!
My mom likes to shop. Wait, let me rephrase that:
My mom LOVES to shop, a lot.
As a consequence of Mommy's shopping habit, I have a ton of clothes, and by a ton, I mean more than I can even wear feasilbly. So, lately Mommy has had a tough time getting rid of my clothes. Since they are all really nice things, and I haven't worn them very often, if at all, she wants to re-sale them.
Luckily for mommy, and for me (because my clothes were beginning to take over) Mommy happened upon a children's consigment boutique opening up in Texarkana soon. The shop, 2Sprouts, will be located in Summerhill Square and Mommy is very excited about the opportunity to clean out my closet.
SO, if you have kids or babies, be sure to check it out. It's opening on November 20th. You can see the facebook event here.

Pumpkins, pumpkins EVERYWHERE
So one day a week or two ago Mom kept asking me if I wanted to go to the pumpkin patch. I had no clue what she was talking about, except that I thought maybe pumpkins were like squash and I LOVE squash. I mean, I absolutely, out-of-this-world, adore and revere squash in a completely un-natural way. Like, if squash were a shoe, I would not only chew and drool all over it, I would put it under my boppy and snuggle with it every night. I LOVE SQUASH.
Anyways, I digress. Pumpkin patch.
So, since I didn't know what she was talking about, I didn't get too excited when she loaded me and Dad up and said we were headed to this patch of squash, I mean, pumpkins. But, when we got there, let me tell you, it was the greatest thing I've ever seen. Not only did I figure out what pumpkins were (big orange balls!) but there were so many more of them than I expected. There were pumpkins as far as your eyes could see. And guess what, blog friends? Mom and Dad just sat me down in the middle of these big orange toys and let me have at it. I had a blast!
At first I wasn't sure exactly what to think about the pumpkins:
P.S. Mom, your nose looks funny!
I needed a little reassurance from Dad, too. So, he promised me it would be okay:
After hearing from both of them that I for sure would not get in trouble if I touched the pumpkins, I decided to have a little fun:
I was right! Squash are still better. In fact, pumpkins kinda taste like those crunchy things that fall from trees that I like to eat after our dog brings them inside.
Anyway, there were a lot of other adventures at the pumpkin patch, and if you'd like to see all the photos, you can check them out here.
Overall, it was a wonderful day with my wonderful family. I really like those people!
I think if I had to rate the pumpkin patch, I would give it a thumbs up!!!
That's all folks!

And I might have questioned Mom and Dad about it a few times. Are you sure I can play with them?
But pretty soon, I was feeling sorta good about the situation. So, I decided to let loose a little:
But, I needed a few kisses from Mom to make sure they weren't going anywhere:

After hearing from both of them that I for sure would not get in trouble if I touched the pumpkins, I decided to have a little fun:
I tested the waters a little... checked out what I was working with...
I tried to be nice at first, but then I realized those pumpkins were way stronger than me!
So....then I dominated those pumpkins! They didn't have a chance! I was all over them like a fly on honey:
I even decided to taste these things they call pumpkins, to make sure they weren't as good as squash:
